Note: The initial open enrollment period for the following school year is January 15 to May 1. If January 15 or May 1 falls on a weekend, it shall be the next school day.
In Colorado, students may enroll in any school that has classroom space. Most APS families enroll in their neighborhood school. You can determine which school your student should attend by using our Address Lookup Tool.
There are other educational options to choose from in addition to your neighborhood school. Consider your family's needs and student's educational goals when selecting a school.
If you would like to enroll your child in a school other than your neighborhood school, visit the school and complete an open enrollment application. The principal of the school will notify you if there is space available and if your application is accepted.

Initial open-enrollment deadline: May 1. Applications received after May 1 will be wait-listed in the order received until there is a vacancy or the school year ends.
