Free Virtual Therapy for All APS Students During Summer Break
Staying mentally healthy is not only critical for your student to engage in learning throughout the school year, but also during downtimes. Aurora Public Schools is happy to remind you that all students have access to free virtual therapy through our partner Hazel Health—even during Summer Break!
With your parental consent, your student can speak 1-on-1 with a licensed therapist while at home from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Services are 100% safe and confidential and there are no insurance or immigration requirements.

Chromebook Use Over Summer Break
As we near the end of the school year, we want to assure you that Aurora Public Schools will continue to prioritize student online safety over summer break. Below, you will find information regarding Chromebook monitoring, usage and availability.
Chromebook Monitoring
APS uses a tool called Linewize to help monitor student activity on district devices. This allows us to identify and respond to potentially concerning online behavior and better support student well-being.
To encourage healthy screen time habits and support online student safety during the summer, APS will continue to monitor activity via Linewize and share reports directly with school administrators.
Chromebook Usage
Chromebooks will only be activated for students enrolled in APS summer programs, including summer school, Extended School Year (ESY) and Edgenuity. If your student is enrolled in an APS summer program, please contact your school administrator immediately so we can ensure continued safety monitoring and support.
Chromebook Availability
Students enrolled in APS summer programs may use their Chromebooks based on the following schedule:
- May 23 – June 27: Chromebooks will be disabled every night from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- June 28 – July 31: Chromebooks will be completely turned off and unavailable.
- August 1: Chromebooks will be reactivated for all students for the 2025-26 school year.
As always, we appreciate your partnership in keeping our students safe—both in person and online.
