Proxy Access Cards
The Security Department is responsible for issuing proxy access cards for district employees. Proxy access will only be issued at the request of the building principal/director or their designee. Employees may not request their own proxy card or access to any site.
- The principal/director or designee (usually the site’s secretary or office manager) should fill out the Proxy Access CARD Request form for all access requests.
- Only one proxy card per employee will be issued as access to multiple buildings can be added to one card, but the access must be requested by the appropriate person who oversees that site. The only exception is when district personnel request access to multiple buildings for an itinerant employee.
- Please note that when an employee transfers to a new site, their proxy card is to remain with the employee and not be taken by the school or support site. When an employee leaves the district the card should be taken from the school or support site on their last day.
- Employees will receive a card at no charge when hired but will have to pay $10 to replace a card when lost or stolen (regardless of how that happens).
Important: If a proxy access card is not working on the printers, please submit an IncidentIQ ticket, as we do not replace cards if they are only failing on the printers.
Alarm Codes
District Policy Regarding Security Intrusion Alarms (ECAB-R): Building access after-hours will usually involve entering through an active security alarm system. Buildings will vary regarding the type of alarm systems and the methods of operation. Personal identification numbers (PIN, or alarm code) for use with electronic keypads and/or magnetic card devices will be issued by the security department and must be treated with the same care and discretion as keys. Individuals needing such access devices will be determined by site managers. Site manager will then request a PIN (alarm code) for each employee via this Alarm Code Request Form.
- Buildings must remain locked and secured after all staff leave for the day. It is the responsibility of the last person to leave to secure and arm the entire building. Please plan accordingly.
- If it is necessary to enter a building during "after-hours" times, employees must first disarm the alarm system with their assigned alarm code (PIN).
- All staff will notify security dispatch prior to entering a building after normal working hours or on weekends, holidays and breaks, by calling 303-367-3060.
- Dispatch must be notified when arming the building and leaving it secure again.
- If you do not have an alarm code and wish entry into a building, you will be denied access.
- If you need assistance arming or disarming your building, you can review a tutorial on arming and disarming.
Emergency Drills
All schools are required to perform Emergency Procedures Drills each year in order for staff and students to be informed regarding what steps to follow should there be an actual emergency.

- After drills are performed, school Secretaries or designees must enter drill details and information on the Google form managed by the Security Office. Access the School Drill Data Submission Google Form.
